DATA or DEBT? not to be confused with the french act datA, this is california’s data/debt. just to quote:
hailing from a post-apocalyptic information age, DATA/DEBT was sent back to our time in a temporal imprisonment program from the year 2031, his setence for stealing the classified experimental software he uses to make beats. he has a fondness for pulse width-modulated square waves and fine bourbon.
data/debt sent me a myspazz friend request, and I gave him around 20 seconds to wow me (cause I’m big shit, you know, got things to do) until I realized there’s real talent in this 34 times befriended musician. patting myself on the back here sharing this discovery with you, I post his frontrunning tune ‘californian special.’ ace job on the chopped vox matched to a slippery funkin bassline. a tune tried and tested by me last night, this one’s a real belter!

I really like this track. Similar kind of sound to the Phonat track ‘set me free’ – people who like that should also listen to the avicci remix.
