Silicon Love is fantastic! Lifelikes music is really great, I have great admiration for his work. The interview was really interesting too, but as a beginning producer (i have fruityloops for a few months now) it is kind of demotivating to hear someone like him say that he can easily hear what studio your music is made on, hardware is just too expensive when your just starting, at least for me. By the way, I thought some time ago you said there was going to come some French Express music project/label the first of May, is that still on the way? Thanks for the music and the interview!

Lifelike is one of those dj’s whose music I almost always love. Its just exactly what my ears want to hear. So its a shame he releases so few tracks a year. That said, I just dont know about love Emulator, that rapping just…No. Silicon love, however-happy days.

  3. Leon says:

@aly it’s no secret he went a bit mainstream with the namebrand stuff. yeah it’s kind of unexpected, but i’m sure there will be some sort of edit/dub out soon!

@fabiano don’t get discouraged!! he’s been at it for more than 10 years… his first release was around 2000! trained ears can spot nuances in productions that most listeners can’t — who cares if lifelike knows you’re all software! learn how to modulate your synths to sound hardware/analog. there are a ton of tricks in the book if that’s worrying you :} and to be honest, lifelike (to my knowledge) uses half digital half analog. maybe more so of one, but I can recognize the bass in love emulator to be one of the very first few digital patches in minimoog v2 ;)

and about fe releasing music, french express will be releasing late june due to some technical sales outlet issues

  4. Fabiano says:

@ Aly yes an instrumental or such would be great!

@Leon thanks for the nice reply, I will do my best and once I have something, could I maybe send it and get some short feedback, I understand if you’re too busy?
I’m looking forward to the release!

  5. c h a m a says:

how does this guy make money?

i mean his music is great but it’s a really small niche he serves.

is it just a hobby of him and he got a common daytime job?

I know he’s a deejay too but plays also not so often.

  6. John says:

looking forward to an instrumental release!

  7. dude, lifelike is soo dope. its really upsetting to not be able to see him at pacific coast festival oc this year cuz im not 21 :( still, ill still support that dudes amazing beats til the end of time.

  8. My school is putting on a production of Hairspray, and as it’s based around the 60s I’m looking for popular music from around then, can anybody suggest artists and / or albums which I could mix and match to make the ‘house music’ CD for the show?.
