falling into the hands of hype today, i finally checked out neon indian. i’ve got to admit, i wasn’t instantly sold. something about the band’s complexion threw me off. at first impression, the production’s self-possessed aura gave off enigmatic and confusing vibes. but then somehow, as i kept listening, i realized it also possesses a mysterious gravity that pulls you into its welcoming dream-like sound.

this remix of au revoir simone mocks the rules… it screws with the status quo. the shoddy but intentional production value may lend itself to quick critique, but once your ears adapt to the sound, you’ll truly appreciate this tune for its real worth
