summer is no where in sight for those of us north of the equator. but thanks to great folks like matt van schie and gloves for gifting us with a warm breeze of air from the down under. matt van schie, not to be confused with michael van she aka michael di francesco aka arithmatix (identity crisis!!!), is the second half of van she tech who has also, as of late, started to also release under a solo alias. matt reassured that there are zero intentions of breaking van she apart. just more love givin. not much can be shared as to what’s in store just yet, but in the words of the man himself, big things planned!

australian ‘yacht pop’ is on the rise, and this nu-disco delight is a fine example of exactly how its done. gloves fancily redecorates the original tune with the blunt, familiar sound of the trademark fender j-bass usually used in most of his productions. definitely got me listening in circles! it looks like matt van schie, michael van she, and gloves are all destined for bigger things in 2010, so make sure to keep an eye out for all of them, as they are on the climb!
